There are many romantic travel destinations in the world and a few of them are pictured on this website. Oahu, Hawaii is certainly one of the most well known romantic spots. Places like Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head have been photographed thousands of times and seen in countless TV shows and movies.

Many Hawaiian words (and some phrases) have worked their way into the mainstream English language thanks, in part, to the popularity of Oahu, Hawaii. Words such as "aloha", "luau" and "hula" are an example of Hawaiian words which are commonly spoken throughout the U.S. mainland.
This small little island off the eastern coast of Oahu is called Chinaman's Hat. At low tide, you can walk out to it in waist deep water.
This is a large Banyan tree. They are found throughout the Hawaiian islands. Their extensive root system makes them quite unique.
From the busy and varied city life of Honolulu to the laid back peacefulness of the island interior - and the beautiful north and eastern shore, Oahu has all the right ingredients to make it a great place to visit. It also deserves its place as one of the best romantic travel destinations in the world.
