You can visit and photograph eight Oregon lighthouses as you drive along it's scenic coastline.
Most of the Oregon lighthouses were built between 1873 and 1896. There are eight total beginning with Cape Blanco Lighthouse in the south (below Bandon) and ending up with Cape Meares Lighthouse in the north near Tillamook. My wife and I have visited six of the eight Oregon lighthouses (missing only the Umpqua River Lighthouse and the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse). Our favorite one would easily be Heceta Head Lighthouse on the central Oregon coast. There is a beautiful beach right below the lighthouse at Heceta Head and the entire area is surrounded with a forest of fir trees.

Heceta Head Lighthouse is found along the central coast and is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country.
Yaquina Head Lighthouse is photographed at sunset along the central Oregon coast.

If you visit Cape Blanco Lighthouse, be prepared to encounter some very strong winds - no matter what time of year you visit. The location of this lighthouse is one of the windiest spots found anywhere on the Oregon coast.
Cape Blanco Lighthouse is located along the windiest shoreline in the entire State of Oregon.

This is the Coquille River Lighthouse located in Bandon, Oregon. It is easily accessed at Bullards Beach State Park.

Cape Arago Lighthouse is seen in the distance. It is not far from the Coquille River Lighthouse.
All of the lighthouses on the Oregon coast are easy to get to and photograph. If you enjoy taking pictures of lighthouses, then this is the place for you to visit. There are also many other coastal attractions to see as you drive to each of these Oregon lighthouses. Plan to spend a lot of time here on the coast.

This is Cape Meares Lighthouse located along the northern coastline of Oregon. It was built in the 1880's.

This is the Heceta Bridge (Coast Highway 101 runs across it) and it is located near the Heceta Head Lighthouse. It is one of my wife's favorite Oregon bridges.

This is Heceta Beach (below the lighthouse). It is a great location for a picnic lunch. And also a great place to find lots of seagulls (I don't think this seagull paid for a parking permit however).
