Kauai helps promote Hawaii tourism

Although the island of Oahu attracts more visitors and is a mainstay of Hawaii tourism, Kauai has more than its share of interesting sites to see. This includes some of the most spectacular tropical scenery in the world. The photos on this page highlight some of the Kauai attractions not found elsewhere on this website.
This is the beautiful and reef-protected Anini Beach on the
island's north shore. It is a perfect place to swim or snorkel.
This small waterfall is right alongside Highway 56 just a short distance from Anini Beach.

Whether you travel from beach to beach in Hawaii, or prefer to hike and explore the island interior, there are lots of hidden gems to discover. Because Kauai is the "Garden Island", you will find beautiful Hawaiian flowers throughout the island. You will also see dozens of photogenic Hawaiian beaches no matter which side of the island you are on.

Many people visiting the islands enjoy going to a Lu'au (a Hawaiian word meaning "feast"). Besides enjoying great food, you can also experience authentic Hawaiian music and see a hula show or perhaps a fire dance.

This is a view of "Sleeping Giant" on the northeast side of Kauai. The mountain outline on the left is supposed to resemble a person's head reclining back. However, I think the peak to the right should be called
"King Kong Mountain" - what do you think?

Kauai is filled with many wonderful and unique tropical attractions which set it apart from the other Hawaiian islands and help to promote Hawaii tourism. For the photographer, it is one of the most exotic and picturesque tropical paradises to be found anywhere.
