Some famous beaches in Hawaii such as Waikiki Beach on Oahu or Kaanapali Beach on Maui are indeed beautiful. However, Hanalei Bay on the north shore of Kauai offers truly spectacular photo opportunities.
The drive around Hanalei Bay is a beautiful one and there
are several places to pull off the road and enjoy the beach.
Hanalei Bay has a long crescent-shaped sandy beach around its shoreline and is a perfect spot for a relaxing picnic. It is also a favorite spot for island surfers. The water sparkles with many different shades of blue and green. A perfect location for a Hawaii beach photo.

The bay is a large one and there is always plenty of open space around you. You do not need to worry about fighting the crowds at this beach. In fact, some of the finest beaches in Hawaii are found on the island of Kauai and almost all are very sparsely populated.

After you pass Hanalei Bay heading north, you will
find a number of one-lane bridges.
In short, Hanalei Bay is an ideal spot for capturing some beautiful beach vacation pictures. Or just to spend the day taking a leisurely stroll looking for shells or watching crabs climb over the rocks. Although there are many great
beaches in Hawaii
, this one definitely deserves to be included among them. The Kauai photo gallery would be incomplete without it.

In addition to all the great beaches in Hawaii, there are many other interesting sites to look at and photograph. "Hanalei" is also the name of a small town on Kauai along with Hanalei Bay. It is also the name of a river and of a beautiful scenic valley. The following photographs feature these "Hanalei" namesakes.
