My name is Steve Minkler and the pictures shown in this photo gallery were taken by me. The photographs date from 1983 on up to the present day. You will find some images of the same subject matter which were photographed years apart. For example, the San Diego skyline has changed dramatically over the past 15 years. Many of those changes can be observed in various photos on the "San Diego" pages.

Some of the top 10 travel destinations in the United States are located west of the Mississippi River. The landscape varies dramatically in the west from high mountain peaks to low lying deserts to coastal beaches and forests. Western cities also vary in style and form. San Diego is very different from Las Vegas, which is very different from Seattle, and so on.

Going even further west (and south too!), a tropical island location such as Hawaii or Tahiti presents landscape forms and settings which are not found on the mainland. Presenting some of those unique landscape variations within the pages of this online photo album brings me great joy. I hope it does for you as well.
